Positive Circle is a program that raises money for underprivileged, homeless and orphaned children in Bangladesh. We raise funds to cover their education, support and guide them from adolescence to adulthood.
The founders of this program came together through an extraordinary situation. Jamie Henshall, UK born and now a citizen of Australia, went to Bangladesh with his good friend Antony in search of his estranged father. They have been separeted for more than 30 years.
Suman, his AirBnB host in Old Dhaka became a friend for life. Jamie, Antony and Suman soon became an unstoppable team, and together they searched deep into the streets of Old Dhaka to try and find Jamie's father.
This extremely emotional, spiritual and testing experience was the catalyst to shine a positive light on the local community of Old Dhaka. The locals saw a western man coming to his fatherland in search of answers and to find peace. They welcomed him with open arms and found his story inspirational. On his return to Australia and after the birth of his daughter that year, Jamie felt compelled to do something to help the children of Old Dhaka and worked together with Suman and Antony to set up "Positive Circle" a program that raises money for underprivileged, homeless and orphaned children in Bangladesh.
The money raised goes to cover their education and supports and guides them from adolescence to adulthood.
